Baking Baking, I love Baking!

I do love baking!
My children Love baking!
If there was one thing wrong with baking, it is how much my children love baking because it means I can barely bake when they are around because they are at my hips, under my feet, in front of my cupboard doors in their bid to be involved!
Mmmmm, Rocky Road.
Made by Mrs Goo and some help from Mr Goo.
For my Christmas my lovely mum bought me a cupcake box thingumy.
You cook the cakes in the tray but then attached the lid so that they stay flat for storage and transporting.
No more trying to figure out how to get cupcakes to fit into a circular tin, for me ;o)

Simply Had to try it  out.
Cinnamon & Banana Cupcakes anyone?
Hmm, looks like someone already took me up on my offer.
I wonder if it was my small helpers.............

Silly question really :oD

Reasons to be Cheerful

I love this linky.
I have missed the first week of the year but will really really try to keep up this year.
.

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy from the Heart

I finished knitting a hat today. I don't knit all that often, but when I do I am really proud of what I have achieved.

My little boy is a wonder. He is such a wee devil but has the cheekiest smile that seems to get him away with things. But he loves me more than the world and that is a great thing to be on the receiving end of.

When I tried on my hat and asked him what he thought, he turned and looked at me. His face actually lit up and he said 'That is really nice Mummy'. Wow! I only expected a glance and for him to go back to what he was doing. I can't believe how much his appreciation lit me up.

Daddy is Home!

 Daddy is Home!
He brings English Chocolate.
In much the same way that my Dad used come home from his trips away with 'English Gold'. We didn't have pound coins in Scotland when I was a little girl so it was a Big thing!
The sugar rush took them to the top of the stairs!

We decided to have a picnic dinner. On the picnic rug in front of a roaring fire. Hmm yes, a tad odd perhaps, but fun none the less.

 Me and my boy.
No, he is not sleeping, he has just had enough of getting his picture taken.
Mrs Goo simply Had to have a pic of Cooey at our picnic dinner.
My Project 366 pic for today.

A Note for the Headmaster

Trendy Toddler Tuesday

Oops, nearly forgot.
Is it bad that I have posted 3 times today?
(twice here and once over there )

It is an old pic, and he is sleeping, but who wouldn't look funky and trendy in this get up.
Just call me DJ Goo!

Cheapskate Bloggers Secret Santa

Look it Look it!!
Before Christmas I signed up for a Cheapskate Bloggers Secret Santa, started by the lovely Liveotherwise.
I was very happy to join in because you had to make something as cheaply as possible and I do Love to make things as frugally as I can. I also Love surprises!
I have been waiting for my Secret Santa gift to arrive, lost in transit, and today it did!
Wowee wowee!

A Personalised Mug!
Someone made something Especially for me.
I Never get my name on anything, unless I go for the French spelling, so this is just so so lovely!

I wonder did my Secret Santa make the candle herself too?
It smells delish!
And I sooo love anything Art Nouveau, so I am in love with my tin (which had me worried for the contents of my box because it was rattling ominously inside the packaging, making me afraid that, after my wait, it was arriving broken to smithereens!)

Oh! But look! The sweeties are so... well, sweet! I almost don't want to eat them. Almost ;o)
Of Course, I just had to try it out.
One cup of Hot Cinnamon chocolate with steamed milk coming right up!
And then you obviously have to have a sweet to go with.
Rocky Road seems like the order of the day :oD
I did get to drink most of my yummy Hot chocolate before this happened.......
But how hard is it to say no to that face?
Oh Look! I hadn't spotted that!
Secret Santa, You have more than one Happy recipient!
